The Crossfire was designed in
cooperation with bodyshop professionals who wanted a quick and simple
method of diagnosing and aligning accident damaged vehicles. It needed
to be able to work independently or with any pulling system and be
robust enough to take everyday bodyshop use. Basically, a piece of kit
which will get used by the technicians and not sit in a corner
gathering dust. It also needed to be affordable.
Since the
Crossfire was launched, computerised "Point to Point" measuring
software and data has been added with an electronic 10 memory measuring
gauge and the benefit of "before" and "after" repair reports. As the
name suggests, point to point measurements can be taken and compared
with the stored data. Conventional length width and height data is also
available.
The system can also be used for truck cab alignment.
